The supply chain would not be complete without the services provided by our Rostock-based subsidiary United Bulk Transport GmbH (UBT). At four German ports, ship clearing agents are ready to serve ship owners day and night. They look after the needs of more than 1,000 ships a year, arrange the settlement of port and pilots' fees and even organize a bunch of flowers for the captain's wife to mark a wedding anniversary.

Our seaport forwarding employees work hand in hand with the clearing agents. Import and export documentation, the preparation of bills of lading and shipment certificates, disposition, and communication with clients are all matters that require a high degree of competence and commitment.

That is how we handle a good 3 million tons at Rostock, Wismar, Lübeck, Bremen and Brunsbüttel, as well as Antwerp. We enjoy friendly relationships with port operators both as customers and partners.

Combined volume for forwarding and clearing has exceeded the 10 million ton mark. Wether salt or iron ore, coal or fertilizers, plasterboard, steel or rolled products, chemicals or forestry industry items - our UBT experts deal with all of them.
