Since 1990, our wholly-owned subsidiary German Bulk Chartering GmbH (GBC) has been handling the
shipping by sea of bulk cargo for the K+S Group as well as third parties. The number of contracts
now exceeds 1,200 ships a year. From 15 port sites in Europe, GBC's strong team of dedicated
specialists arranges shipment all over the world. They fix contracts to Brazil and Saudi Arabia, to
South Africa and the United States and to many other overseas markets. We are just as much at home
in the Mediterranean region as in the North or Baltic Seas.

Long-term, contract-based partnerships with well-known and reliable shipping companies provide
them with a regular volume of cargo and ensure that our shippers have sufficient ships' space.
A network of contacts with ship-owners, ship-brokers, associated shippers and agencies form the
basis for a profound knowledge of the marekt and thus, for concluding prices acceptable to both
sides.
