Baltic Train - Clever Network Ideas
This applies likewise to our logistics product
Baltic Train. Originally conceived as purely rail-based
feeder service for sea containers, our offer now encompasses shipment by land involving combined
means of transport, e.g. from domestic hubs to Italy and back.
With 8-10 regular departures per week, we operate and market entire trains in partnership with
Deutsche Bahn as well as private traction companies. The share of total volume accounted for by
numerous third party customers already significantly exceeds the volume generated by the K+S
Group.

The construction of our own "Werra-Kombi-Terminal" at Philippsthal near Bad Hersfeld - an
important German transport centre - is the next project under study.
